The restoration of the Cathedral of the Saviour on Spilled Blood went way over budget and it is pretty obvious as to why that happened. Apart from the mosaics, these elaborate entry doors to the altar with semi-precious stones, detailed carvings in stone, wood and plaster, gilded metalwork and marble columns are stunning.
